First appointment at University of Rome "La Sapienza" : 1996.

Research interests : Computational Complexity, Parallel and Randomized Algorithms, Approximation for Combinatorial Optimization Problems, De-randomization.


Since 1990, he is a member of the Theory-Group in the Department of Computer Science of the University of Rome. During the third year of the PhD Program (1992-1993), he has been "Visiting PhD-Student" in the Computer Science Department of the University of California, S. Diego (UCSD) under the supervision of Prof. C.H. Papadimitriou (official Tutor) and Prof. R. Impagliazzo. The main results of his PhD thesis have been obtained in collaboration with Prof. Impagliazzo in San Diego. In 1994, he got a Post Doc Position at the Centre Universitaire d'Informatique (CUI) of the University of Geneva. During the last three years, he has collaborated with Prof. A. Andreev (University of Moscow), Prof. E. Dhalhaus (University of Sidney), Prof. L. Kucera (University of Prague), Prof. J. Rolim (University of Geneva). He is member of several ESPRIT, HCM and INTAS Projects.
