Education
2003-2006 Ph.D. in Computer Science, University of Rome "La Sapienza" (winner of the AI*IA "Marco Cadoli" National Prize 2007 for the Best PhD Thesis in AI).
1996-2001 B.Sc+M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science (110/110 magna cum laude), University of Rome "La Sapienza".

Languages
Fluent in English and French; Italian mother tongue.

Teaching
Interests
His research focuses on Natural Language Processing, including Word Sense Disambiguation, Knowledge Acquisition, Ontology Learning, Semantic Information Retrieval, the Semantic Web and its applications.

  • First Italian researcher to win an ERC Starting Independent Researcher Grant in "computer science and informatics".
    The ERC (European Research Council) is an independent agency funding frontier research across Europe in all disciplines based on scientific excellence.
